Peter, Please Answer

The key to Peter Answers is the petition. Whether it is the short version shown in the title of this post, which is “Peter, Please Answer” or the longer version of the petition “Peter, please answer the following question”, the petition holds the key to the virtual tarot Peter Answers. First off, what is a petition? This is how dictionary.com defines it:

a request made for something desired, esp. a respectful or humble request, as to a superior or to one of those in authority; a supplication or prayer: a petition for aid; a petition to God for courage and strength.

So what does this mean, really? Well as I am sure you have noticed there are two parts to the game - the petition (Peter, please answer) and the question. It’s in the petition where you appeal to the mysterious peter and ask him a question. You “petition” him, in other words, the answer your question, whether you use the long version of the petition or the short version of the petition.

The question field of Peter Answers is where the fun is. Here is where people ask the funniest questions like, “who just farted,” for example. Peter knew the answer! How on earth did Peter know the answer? Peter Answers is just a website, there is no way Peter could know the answer. But somehow he does. That is what is so fun about the game - you ask the weirdest question that there is no possible way he can answer you, and miracle upon miracle, Peter Answers.
