Peter Answers is a free online fortune teller that can give some pretty amazing answers if you play the game right.

In this new series of posts called “Peter Please Answer” we will take a look at some of the more intriguing questions that I am sure people are interesting in learning the answer to.

Who will win American Idol?

American Idol Season 8 is starting up in a few weeks and already people want to know – who will win?

Well, before I give my prediction on who will win I would like to answer some other related questions first.

Who is the new judge on American Idol?
Did you know that in Season 8 they are adding a fourth judge to the lineup? Yep, that will make things interesting for sure. Her name is Kara DioGuardi. Why a fourth judge? Because in the UK version of the show they have four judges and apparently it works pretty well. So they decided to add a fourth judge to Season 8.

Will Paula Abdul have any strange episodes?
Anyone who has been following American Idol knows that Paula will sometimes go a little wacko. We hope it isn’t drugs but that is what the rumors are. In any case, in Season 8 of American Idol Paula will not, I repeat will not, freak out. The reason is because now with Kara as the fourth judge she gets to have someone to help her gang up on Simon, and that will calm her down.

Will David Cook appear on Season 8?
It is traditional for the previous season winners to appear on American Idol and this season will be no different – Season 7 winner David Cook will indeed perform on Season 8. In fact, not only will David appear but there will be a special appearance by past American Idol participant Josiah Leming, who you may remember as the guy so desperate to get on the show that he was sleeping in his car.

And finally,

Who will win American Idol Season 8?
The question rings from across the land, Peter Please Answer – who will win American Idol Season 8? Now it wouldn’t be any fun if I told you the exact name of the person who will win as that is a total spoiler. However, I will tell you that the winner of American Idol will be a man with dark hair, very similar to last year but without the rocker style of David Cook.

And that is Peter’s Answer!

Whenever a website becomes popular it is target for imposters. Posers and wanna-bes who want to benefit from the hard work of others. When money is on the line is when the vultures show up. Such is the case with Peter Answers, which is and will always be, the world’s finest free online fortune teller. The best of the virtual tarots.

And now it has been copied by a fake fortune teller. Unlike Ask Jud, who at least had the common courtesy to offer an upgraded fortune telling experience in a unique Web 2.0 manner, this imposter is almost a direct rip-off of Peteranswers. But of course with many more advertisements!

And worse, not only does this website copy Peter Answers, but it has a link to Peter’s Secret right there on the webpage! Now has foolish is that? When you have an interactive virtual tarot like Peter you do not go and ruin the secret by publicizing the secret right on the same page where you are sending your victims. That’s dumb!

I really would like to link out to the website so that you can see what a copy-cat fortune teller this is, but I don’t want to make the problem any worse than it already is. If I link to him and then other people link to him eventually people might start thinking that this guy is the right Peter, when of course he is just some Johnny-come-lately hoping to score some big ad revenue.

Well I’ll tell you right now I am not going to do that. It’s only the original Peter Answers for me. No copy-cat fortune tellers allowed here!

One of the most common complaints that I hear about the free online fortune teller Peter Answers is that he doesn’t always answer the question in the way the questioner was hoping. “Peter Please Answer My Question” is the refrain heard all the way to the rooftops sometimes when someone gets frustrated.

Now clearly I can’t say why sometimes Peter Answers and why other times he does not – but one thing I do know is that a disproportional amount of the time when this happens is when the questioner is the only person in the room. I don’t know what it is about Peter but he certainly seems to provide much better answers when someone else, in other words a third party, is in the room. And it especially helps if that third party is actually at the keyboard transcribing the questions.

Funny, isn’t it?

So, what is your strategy when Peteranswers doesn’t work the way you want it to? Do you continue to ask question after question in the hopes that Peter Answers? I have found that strategy doesn’t work well to be honest. I have seen a number of people employ this solution and I am sure you have as well – but it simply doesn’t work. Most of the times if Peter doesn’t answer right away he isn’t going to answer.

Another strategy you could try would be to use a different virtual tarot such as Ask Jud. But again, this is a strategy that rarely works. If Peter isn’t giving you the answer that you seek then it is very unlikely that Jud will tell your future either.

You could go to Google and search for a new virtual tarot that you have never used before but that would seem to be awfully risky – who knows what kind of quality answers you will get from some random fortune teller.

No, I think the answer is clear. When Peter isn’t working for you today you simply need to wait a day and try him again. Keep up the faith and eventually I am sure you will get the answer that you so urgently seek.

The Art of the Prank or Pranks.com as it is known, is produced and edited by Joey Skaggs. Here you will find insights, information, news and discussions about pranks, hoaxes, culture jamming & reality hacking around the world – past, present and future – mainstream and counter culture. It’s written in a blog format which means it is updated frequently and is easy to read. In particular I liked perusing through his category called The History of Pranks where you will find some very fascinating pranks and historical information regarding pranks.

The Prank Institute
The Prank Institute or Pranks.org as it is known, is a forum that has collected literally thousands of pranks from readers across a large number of categories including Office Pranks, School Pranks, Computer Pranks, you name it Pranks. You can’t go wrong checking out the hilarity here! And since it is a forum you can participate too.

I get some strange questions around here there is no doubt about that. Recently I was asked a very interesting one: This fellow asked, Peter please answer me: who stole my BustedTee?
