Thank you for your question to Peter Answers as this is a question I have seen many parents ask. There are a lot of scooters available on the market today but when you are ready for a scooter more advanced than a normal Razor or Ripstik scooter then the Kent Super Scooter is the right scooter for your child.

The first thing you notice with this scoot is the handlebars with the brakes that look just like a bike. These brakes make this the safest scooter your child can use. If you have watched your kid use a Razor scooter with no brakes you will be happy to see the brakes! Also, most parents have a difficult time with scooters but the Kent Super Scooter is durable enough for a parent to use as well, and those brakes make for a very safe riding experience.

In addition to the handlebars and brakes you will notice the big knobby tires. Compare the tires on this scooter to any other scoot on the market and it is clear why this scooter is the way to go – those knobby tires will power this scooter over anything in your path! These tires are actually inflatable tires which gives a very comfortable ride unlike most scooters that have solid, very hard tires or wheels.

There are lots of small details on this scooter that Peter Answers likes as well, simple little things like the addition of a small kickstand. This thing is more like a bike than a scooter.

Overall the scooter weighs 18 pounds and utilizes a durable, high tensile steel frame to allow for parents and child alike to use this scooter. Assembly is a snap as it should take you less than 10 minutes to put it together.

So, get the Kent Super Scooter for your child (or yourself!)

And that is Peter’s Answer!

When people ask Peter where they will go for the holidays I usually give a variety of answers depending on who they are and what they like to do. But when people ask Peter where they should go for the holidays Peter Answers the same almost every time – Holidays to New York.

New York is always a great place to visit. The culture diversity, the great things to see and do, and the simple fact that when you are on the East Coast you are close to so very many other states if you wanted to do something outside of New York all add up to terrific reasons to visit.

Here are my top five things to do while enjoying New York Holidays:

Visit Central Park – In the summer you can rent a boar and navigate the lake. In the winter you can skate on it.

Visit the Statue of Liberty – It’s fun to take the ferry boat out and spend a little time around the grounds. It’s big close up!

Go to a New York Yankees game – just don’t wear a Boston shirt, you wouldn’t want to get beat up!

Shop shop shop until you drop drop drop – New York City has the best shopping in the world.

Have lunch from a street cart and dinner at a fine dining restaurant – NYC has it all when it comes to food.

If you are truly lucky to have seen Holidays New York style then you know that this city loves holiday lights and decorations. Here are my top 5 holiday light displays:

Rockefeller Center – The lighting of city’s most famous tree marks the unofficial start of the winter holidays.

Bryant Park – Once you’ve gotten a look at the tree, visit Celsius, the on-site restaurant and bar.

South Street Seaport – This 50-foot Douglas fir has the Big Apple Chorus not only appearing at its unveiling but also performing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday thereafter until Christmas Eve.

American Museum of Natural History – A team of 40 volunteers begins in July to create some 500 origami figures for this one.

Metropolitan Museum of Art – The twenty-foot-tall spruce at the Met is adorned with 50 eighteenth-century Neapolitan angels and flanked by hundreds of crèche figures.

So, where will you be going for the holidays? New York baby. And that’s Peter’s Answer!

Peter knows that there are fewer things that make a woman happier then getting a bouquet of beautiful flowers. Oh sure, a nice diamond ring, mink stole or fancy new Maserati would probably do the trick as well, but ultimately the simple gesture of buying a flower can truly bring a glimmer of love into your woman’s eyes.

When buying flowers for a loved one there are a few things you need to consider:

Type of Flower
I know that this probably seems pretty obvious, but before you set out on a journey to buy flowers you had better figure out what kind you want to get! You have a lot of options in this area and the option you choose will determine exactly how much of a hole it will leave in your wallet. Interested in a simple bouquet of carnations or daisies? Well then you can get a gorgeous vase full for less than $40. No flower will do for your gal but a rose? Then you may have to pony up the bigger bucks – depending on season you might pay $10. For a single rose! But guess what, in Peter’s experience you have to spend the money to get the grand reward, if you know what I mean!

Type of Container
If you have a lot of vases around the house then you can buy simple cut flowers and then use your own vase. If you go this route you will save money. However, who wants the hassle? And if you are shipping this gift to a friend who lives elsewhere then you will want to make sure they have a place to put their flowers and the only way that you can make sure of that is to buy a vase or basket. Fortunately, most bouquets these days come with this option. Peter answers that you should go for a simple yet elegant style, particularly if you have purchased a dozen roses.

Where to Buy
You really only have a few options when it comes to buying flowers. You can visit your local corner flower cart, which unless you are very lucky you probably don’t have. Or you can visit a flower shop in a strip mall or something, but that requires getting out of the house. So the last option is the best – buy your flowers online from the comfort of your own sofa. What could be better?

So in summary, if you want to show your lady how much you love her, skip the fancy car and go for a wonderful bouquet of flowers. And that’s Peter’s Answer!

If there is anything Peter Answers knows less about it would probably have to be beer. Peter is not a beer drinker, and doesn’t normally buy beer as a gift for anyone. However I do know that there are many people out there who do enjoy a beer tasting every now and again and it is to them (and their friends!) who I dedicate this question to.

Where can I buy a great beer gift basket?

First of all we need to define exactly what does this mean. What is a beer gift basket? Quite simply these are baskets that have bottles and cans of beer as the main ingredient to a gift basket that you would send to a friend of yours. But in addition to including great beer like Guinness, Killians beer or Summit, these gift baskets also add things like beer nuts and chips, to make sure the beer swiller has plenty of food to allow him to drink more beer!

Because style is important these gift baskets usually come in a very stylish basket so that when all the beer and food is consumed the basket can still be used for other things like a simple decoration or maybe to even reuse as another gift.

My choice for buying beer gift baskets is My Gourmet Food Gift Baskets, where they seem to have a nice collection of gourmet food gift baskets and at least a couple of good beer gift baskets.

Who knows, Peteranswers may just get a hankering for trying out some of their beer. And maybe you will too if you go out and purchase one of these great baskets.

And that is Peter’s Answer!

If you are like Peter Answers and love to visit exotic locations then Sri Lanka is for you. But you already know that, don’t you? What you really want to know is will you ever get to visit Sri Lanka?

Before we discuss the possibilities of you ever visiting Sri Lanka it would be good to learn a little bit more about the country.

History of Sri Lanka

Did you know that up until 1972 this little island in the Indian Ocean was called Ceylon? Not many people today know that but it wasn’t so long ago that it carried a different name. Sri Lanka is situated only about 20 miles off the southern coast of India and the island boasts a population of about 20 million people. The natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s tropical forests, beaches and landscape, as well as its rich cultural heritage, make it a world famous tourist destination. If you are lucky enough to visit Sri Lanka then make sure you bring the appropriate dress – Sri Lanka climate is tropical and warm.

People have populated the island of Sri Lanka since ancient times – Paleolithic human settlements have been discovered at excavations in several cave sites in the Western Plains region and the South-western face of the Central Hills region.

From 1983 to 2009, there was an on-and-off civil war, predominantly between the government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a separatist militant organization who fought to create an independent state named Tamil Eelam in the North and East of the island. This has in turn resulted in ethnic cleansing of Muslim and Shinhalese from the area which Tigers claim to be Tamil Eelam. Both the Sri Lankan government and LTTE has been accused for various human right violations. However, number of notorious atrocities committed by LTTE, including suicide bombing, forced conscription of child soldier and ethnic cleansing of non Tamil cause many countries to classify LTTE as a terrorist organisation.

On May 19, 2009 the President of Sri Lanka officially claimed end of the Civil War and the defeat of the LTTE following the death of its leader and much of its senior leadership.

Where to stay in Sri Lanka

Hotels in Sri Lanka are abundant and of a range of classes from very meager and inexpensive to high-end and luxurious. It all depends on what you want to get out of your stay. If you are looking for a book to read to recommend some good hotels then I would suggest Cool Hotels: India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, it is a very nice read and offers some good suggestions no matter your budget. With more than 500 ravishing full-color photographs, Cool Hotels brings you to the best hotels in India, the Maldives and Sri Lanka. The super-deluxe establishments included here are all at the cutting-edge of hotel design and management. Each property has been hand-picked according to a set of criteria that includes a strong design aesthetic, architectural integrity, and a sense of individuality a million miles away from the cookie-cutter approach of chain hotels. Many of these properties have never been featured in guides before, and many have recently opened.

What to do in Sri Lanka

When visiting Sri Lanka I suggest three things – eating, going to festivals and watching a cricket match.

Sri Lankans have added western influences to the customary diet such as rice and curry, pittu (mixture of fresh rice meal, very lightly roasted and mixed with fresh grated coconut, then steamed in a bamboo mould). Kiribath (cooked in thick coconut cream for this unsweetened rice-pudding which is accompanied by a sharp chili relish called “lunumiris”), wattalapam (rich pudding of Malay origin made of coconut milk, jaggery, cashew nuts, eggs, and various spices including cinnamon cloves and nutmeg), kottu, and hoppers (“appa”), batter cooked rapidly in a hot curved pan, accompanied by eggs, milk or savories. Middle Eastern influences and practices are found in traditional Moor dishes. While Dutch and Portuguese influences are found with the island’s Burgher community preserving their culture through traditional favorites such as Lamprais (rice cooked in stock and baked in a banana leaf), Breudher (Dutch Christmas cake) and Bolo Fiado (Portuguese-style layer cake).

Every year on or about April 13 Sinhala and Tamil people celebrate Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival, and Muslims celebrate Ramadan. Esala Perahera is the grand festival of Esala held in Sri Lanka. It is very grand with elegant costumes. Happening in July or August in Kandy, it has become a unique symbol of Sri Lanka and no visit would be complete sithout seeing it. It is a Buddhist festival consisting of dances and richly-decorated elephants. There are fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandian dances and various other cultural dances. The elephants are usually adorned with lavish garments, and the good news for visitors is that it is very rare to be trampled! The festival ends with the traditional ‘diya-kepeema’. The elephant is paraded around the city bearing the tooth of Buddha.

While the national sport in Sri Lanka is volleyball, by far the most popular sport in the country is cricket. The Sri Lankan cricket team achieved considerable success beginning in the 1990s, rising from underdog status to winning the 1996 World Cup, as well as the Asia Cup in 1996 and 2004. Sri Lanka remains one of the leading cricketing nations in the world, with the national team reaching the finals of Cricket World Cup 2007, where they lost to Australia. When you schedule your trip don’t forget to include a cricket match.

So will you ever get there?

So will you ever get to visit Sri Lanka? Well, peteranswers feels as though unless you already live in the Eastern hemisphere that the answer will be no. It is just too long and exotic a trip for you to be taking in this bad economy. However if you already live in say, something like the Philippines, then I foresee a trip to Sri Lanka in your future!

I don’t think many of you have noticed but Peter Answers has been feeling under the weather for a number of months now. Being the world’s leading free virtual tarot puts a lot of pressure on a guy and the fact is that the pressure has just been too great for some time now. Have you ever felt that kind of pressure? I am betting that you have, because I see it every day in the sorts of questions that people ask.

So what do you do when you feel pressure to perform, whether performing is answering questions, or writing articles like this one, or even just going to work day in and day out? Well there are a number of things I believe you can focus on and these are the top priority items that will keep you healthy, alive and ready to answer more questions like Peteranswers.

First, you must recognize that you are not alone. I know that sometimes it feels as though you are the only person in the world dealing with the problems you have but you must realize that is not the case – many other people are struggling just like you are. Instead of thinking you are alone, actively go out and seek people like yourself that are having to deal with your problem. There is strength in numbers, my friend! In my case I talked to some other people who were having a very hard time getting the energy to write every day like Peter Answers used to do. Once I realized that this was a normal phase to go through I was able to get past the idea that I was out there all alone. Even if you live in the farthest away area of the world you can find other people by joining one of many Social Networks – these networks have the power to bring like minded people together to solve problems like this.

Second, one you recognize that you are not alone then you must do something about it. For me, the answer was easy – I needed to start writing again. Once I start writing then I will start answering your questions again and that will make everyone happier. Find what your problem is and just start addressing it with little baby steps if you can. Once you start up you will feel much better, I guarantee it!

So, do what Peter Answers is doing – get back on the horse!

Second,

Already good at golf but looking to break 80? Check out this amazing guide on how to break the magical 80 barrier.

Peter Answers loves to play golf! If you ask Peter, “Will I Ever Get Better at Golf?” then the answer will be YES, as long as you focus on these essentials:

Equipment

Spend some money and invest in good golf equipment. Today’s clubs are more forgiving of mishits and have a tremednous amount of range. If you try to use Uncle Charlies hand-me-downs you will simply be at a major disadvantage. Now this doesn’t mean you have to buy the best of the best, any new club set will be good enough for now as you are starting out. Eventually you will make a bigger investment.

If you really want to get fancy you can invest in a Golf GPS device, which is used to help measure the exact distance you have to the hole on each shot. That will really improve your game!

Lessons

Taking golf lessons is important, and not just to shore up your golf swing. You need to take lessons so that you develop a love for the game and an understanding of the fundamentals of golf. Sure, with years of experience you will eventually learn on your own the nuances of the game but you simply can’t afford to take that time. Get together with a local PGA pro at your golf club and sign up for lessons where you will learn proper grip, proper stance and how to golf swing, not to mention learning about some of the mental aspects of the game.

Practice

Practice is critical in golf. And not just hitting your driver on the driving range! One of the things you must do is learn exact distances for each club under a variety of different lies. That way when you are faced with the same shot in a real golf match then you will know exactly what club to use. That is one of the reasons why a Golf GPS device is so awesome – if you use it during practice you can know exactly how far you hit each club. Then when you hit the course you will be an unstoppable golf force!

When you practice member to mix up your clubs and also spend time on the putting range and any other station your club may offer. At my golf club we have a great practice facility that includes bunkers, something that a lot of people don’t get the chance to practice. Make good use of your practice time and you will be an ace in no time!

Follow these tips and you for sure will get better at golf.

And that is Peter’s Answer!

Want to learn how to really hypnotize people? Check out this amazing guide.

Peter Answers is a fortune teller, not a hypnotist. People will often get the two mistaken for each other. However that doesn’t mean that Peter doesn’t have some insight into the practice of hypnotism. Read on for some information that will be interesting to you should you need to ask Peter, “Is Hypnotism Real?”

Hypnotizing Humans

You are probably asking the question “Is Hypnotism Real?” because you either want to know how to hypnotize someone, you have been hypnotized yourself and you are trying to explain what happened to you or you don’t believe a friend who claimed he saw someone hypnotized.

Hypnosis typically involves an introduction to the procedure during which the subject is told that suggestions for imaginative experiences will be presented. The hypnotic induction is an extended initial suggestion for using one’s imagination, and may contain further elaborations of the introduction. A hypnotic procedure is used to encourage and evaluate responses to suggestions. When using hypnosis, one person (the subject) is guided by another (the hypnotist) to respond to suggestions for changes in subjective experience, alterations in perception, sensation, emotion, thought or behavior.

Persons can also learn self-hypnosis, which is the act of administering hypnotic procedures on one’s own. If the subject responds to hypnotic suggestions, it is generally inferred that hypnosis has been induced. Many believe that hypnotic responses and experiences are characteristic of a hypnotic state. While some think that it is not necessary to use the word “hypnosis” as part of the hypnotic induction, others view it as essential.

Details of hypnotic procedures and suggestions will differ depending on the goals of the practitioner and the purposes of the clinical or research endeavor. Procedures traditionally involve suggestions to relax, though relaxation is not necessary for hypnosis and a wide variety of suggestions can be used including those to become more alert. Suggestions that permit the extent of hypnosis to be assessed by comparing responses to standardized scales can be used in both clinical and research settings. While the majority of individuals are responsive to at least some suggestions, scores on standardized scales range from high to negligible.

Hypnotizing Animals

There are many proven ways to hypnotize certain animals. Here are a few examples:

Chickens
There are 3 ways to hypnotize a chicken:

Hold the chicken’s head down against the ground, and continuously draw a line along the ground with a stick or a finger, starting at its beak and extending straight outward in front of the chicken. If the chicken is hypnotized in this manner, it will remain immobile for somewhere between 15 seconds and 30 minutes, continuing to stare at the line.

Hold the chicken’s face up with its back on the ground, and then run your finger vertically downwards from the chicken’s wattles to just above its vent. The chicken’s feet are exposed, which allows easy application of medication for foot mites, etc. To wake up the chicken, clap your hands or give the chicken a gentle shove.

Mimic how the chicken sleeps – with its head under its wing. In this method, you hold the bird firmly, placing its head under its wing, then, gently rock the chicken back and forth and set it very carefully on the ground. It should stay in the same position for about 30 seconds.

Snakes
Snake charming is the practice of hypnotizing a snake by simply playing an instrument. A typical performance may also include handling the snakes or performing other seemingly dangerous acts, as well as other street performance staples, like juggling and sleight of hand. The practice is most common in India, though other Asian nations such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Malaysia are also home to performers, as are the North African countries of Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.

Trout
There is a method for hypnotizing trout that is called Trout Tickling, which is the art of rubbing the underbelly of a trout using fingers. If done properly, the trout will go into a trance-like state after a minute or so, and can then easily be thrown onto the nearest bit of dry land.

A related approach is sometimes used in catfish noodling, although in general that method of fishing for catfish by hand is more brute force with grabbing the catfish out of their holes.

So Is Hypnotism Real or Not?

Of course hypnotism is real! This is an undisputed fact. Or if it isn’t, it should be. However, not everyone can be hypnotized. So for those people it is natural to be doubters. But just like not every believe in the power of Peter Answers, so too do not everybody believe in hypnotism. And that would be a mistake.

And that is Peter’s Answer!

Check out this great guide on Fly Fishing Secrets Revealed!

Fly Fishing is the art of using artificial flies, fly rod and fly line to catch a wide variety of fish, but usually trout or salmon. Peter Answers is useful when you want to know the answer to life’s mysteries, such as “Will I Go Fly Fishing This Year?”

In order to answer this question for yourself you should do some research on fly fishing and be prepared to understand that this is a sport than can be expensive and frustrating! But it can also be very rewarding, as anyone asking the question probably understands.

Take a look at these key areas to determine if you will be going fly fishing this year:

What Do You Want to Fish For?

Trout and salmon are the most popular species to fish for using the fly fishing technique but that certainly doesn’t mean you can only fish for them. In the book 50 Fish to Catch before You Die there are a number of great species identified including exotic ones such as mackerel, carp, tuna and even shark! Before the question can be answered you need to make the decision as to what you want to catch as that will define where you need to go and how much money you need to spend.

Where Do You Want to Visit?

Now that you know what kind of fish you want to catch you have to decide where you want to go. Of course this depend greatly on where you live, assuming you don’t want to travel too far. If you are looking for exotic places to fly fish I recommend reading Fifty Places to Fly Fish Before You Die. Otherwise, recognize that pretty much any stream near your house can be fished using the fly fishing technique. I myself have caught crappies and sunfish using fly fishing, and if you use light tackle it can be very fun to even catch these small fish.

How Much Money Can You Afford to Spend?

As you can see from reading Fifty Places to Fly Fish Before You Die it can be expensive to fly fish if you are going to do exotic fishing like fishing for Atlantic salmon at Laxa I Adaldal in Iceland, catching snook off Boca Paila in the Yucatan, fishing on the Ponoi River in Mongolia for taimen or fishing brown trout on the River Test in Stockbridge, England. Do you have the money for such a lifetime adventure? Then go for it! Otherwise, if you can’t afford that, then consider the local stream or even lake where you can fish from the shore or wade in as needed.

Well? Did looking at it that way still make you want to ask the question of whether or not you will be going fly fishing? If you still want to then I feel very strongly that you will indeed make it happen this year. Good luck on the river!

And that is Peter’s Answer!

Peter Answers often gets asked question such as, “Will I Ever Get Married?” to which Peter responds, follow these steps and you will have a long and successful marriage.

Take Care of Yourself First

While it is true that even the most unfit slob can get married the fact is you stand a much better chance if you actually spend some time taking care of yourself. So be sure to live a healthy lifestyle by following these main points:

Eat Right

Control Your Weight

Daily Physical Activity

Safe Sex

You will be in a much better position to get married if you do this.

Courtship

Courtship is the art of finding a wooing your future spouse. Often times it is just about being in the right place at the right time, but that doesn’t mean Peter Answers doesn’t have some tips for you.

Staying Married

Finally, once you do achieve your goal of getting married it is important to work as hard at staying married as you did in getting married in the first place. You will receive much marriage advice from your friends and family but in my opinion none is more important than these points:

Get good pre wedding counseling. Counseling is not a sign of failure it is a sign if good planning. Know what you are getting into.

Make communication a daily habit. Good communication is the key to a successful marriage. Ask for input, give input, share experiences, be open.

Take time for yourselves. This is especially true when you have kids, but even before then – don’t let work or other commitments get in the way of you being together with your spouse. Keep those date nights alive.

Take time for yourself. Everyone needs some alone time and being married shouldn’t change that. Just make sure your spouse understands what you need – and be prepared to offer the same.

Know that there will be bad times – and plan for it! Many people struggle when faced with adversity – but if you know that it will come you can be better equipped to deal with it. If you have kept up on your communication you can get through adversity with your spouse.

Having trouble with your marriage? Learn how to save your marriage.
