While I mostly write about Peter Answers I do occasionally look into the other free online fortune tellers that are out there. One of the ones I have written about before is Ask Jud. Now I like Ask Jud, even though I sometimes mistakenly call it Jud Answers. In fact if you had to pin me down and ask which one I would want to use every day, then I would say that the virtual tarot Ask Jud is where I would spend my time.

But that’s not what this post is about. I would like to talk (or write I guess) about Google. In particular, Google Search. What I find facinating is that often times an original article like the one I wrote about Ask Jud can be at the bottom of the front page (right now I am in 8th position) but other articles that actually point to that original content can be higher up. In this case, there is a Digg I submitted that refers to that article that is actually in 3rd position!

Does this happen a lot? It doesn’t seem to be a good suggestion for Google’s customers to offer a Digg page that has very minimal content at the top of the page when a great original content article like that one can be at the bottom. That doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t seem like good business for Google.

So, if you are looking for article on Ask Jud you should just come here instead of looking at Google. This is where you will find the best information on free online fortune tellers!

While this website is supposed to be focused on Peter Answers I from time to time write about other games, mysteries or virtual Fortune Tellers, such as when I previously wrote about Ask Jud. Now I have to say I remain impressed with this Peter Answers clone. The interface is very clean and easy to see and the fonts are nice and big so that when a group of your friends are sitting around the computer they can easily see the amazing answers Jud is giving to questions such as, “How to Spot a Gold Digger” or “How To Build an Affordable Vinyl Fence.”

It is interesting to me that the site is not called Jud Answers, which would makes sense given the competition it has. However, it may be that they wanted to differentiate themselves from the more famous site offered up by Peter the Great Fortune Teller.

So what is the secret to Jud Answers or should I say more correctly, what is the secret to Ask Jud? Well, you are going to have to go Ask Peter that because I am sure he knows!

I have noticed one thing I think could be improved with Ask Jud. When you click on the Need Some Help? link it pops up this really cool help screen – is this what is called Ajax? I just love the cool smooth way it pops up. But then it isn’t clear how to remove the block of text! I would think you would just click anywhere on the screen but instead you actually have to click the Need Some Help? link again, which I think is not very intuitive.

Despite this shortcoming, I am liking Ask Jud more and more.

When I was first amazed so much by Peter Answers oh so long ago it did not occur to me that this game would be so popular that there would be people jealous of the virtual tarot success. But Peter did have success and with that I guess people want to get what he had. So this interactive souls engine, or virtual tarot, or whatever you want to call the game of peter answers now has some competition.

The first one I have run across is a complete rip-off of peter answers and it is called Ask Jud. Now what’s funny about Ask Jud is it works exactly the same as Peter Answers, it looks the same, and the secret is deployed in exactly the same way. Except instead of saying, Peter please answer you say Jud, please answer. One thing that Jud has going for it is it’s fancy Web 2.0 logo with the reflection. There is also this Ajax like thingamabob. Very high tech.

One thing that is interesting about Ask Jud is that it is a pretty new game and there hasn’t been much written about it on the internet, so this article will be one of less than a thousand that seem to be targeted to this interactive virtual fortune teller game of Ask Jud. One thing know about the internet is that there will soon be a lot more pages joining as people write about the secret to ask jud and and other similar games. There is something fascinating about how the internet just grows and grows with articles like this one as people (not fortune tellers) write about all sorts of topics of which they know nothing about.

Ask Jud describes itself as “The World’s Finest Virtual Tarot.” I will grant you with the fancy high tech stuff it does look pretty good, but really the magic in games like Ask Jud and Peter Answers is what is happening under the covers. Anything else is just makeup. So can it claim to be the world’s finest virtual tarot? I guess it can – we can claim to be anything we want.

But for my money, I would stick with the classic game of peter answers over jud answers if you truly want to shock and amaze your friends. Peter has such a nicer ring about it than Jud does, wouldn’t you agree?
